Cayo Jutías in a few words
Off the coast of the province of Pinar del Rio, Cayo Jutias is one of the small islands that form the archipelago of Colorados (archipiélago de los Colorados in Spanish).
Big of only 4 km2, Cayo Jutias is still uninhabited, and it is there its great asset! Here, the beach has been preserved from the big tourist complexes that have sprung up everywhere in Varadero, in the Jardines del Rey archipelago and in the Province of Holguin.
You will only find a restaurant open from 10 am to 5:30 pm and a diving center.
However, unlike Cayo Levisa, Cayo Jutías is connected to the main island by a pedraplén, a road that passes over the sea.
Cayo Jutías is therefore easier to access, but be warned, in summer, its beaches are taken by storm!
How to get to Cayo Jutías
Cayo Jutías is located about 55 km northwest of Viñales.
If you have rented a car, you can go directly to the island by taking the pedraplén.
Before leaving for Cuba, remember to download the maps of the region on your phone so that you can access them offline.
Otherwise, bring a road map.
