Catarata Llanos de Cortes is located approximately 15 kilometers northeast of Liberia in the Guanacaste Region of Costa Rica. The waterfall is nestled in a lush tropical setting, accessible via a well-marked dirt road off the Pan-American Highway (Route 1). From Liberia, take Route 1 toward Bagaces and turn left at the sign for Llanos de Cortes. A short drive down this road leads to a parking area near the entrance.
