Montagne Chirripo

- From San José: Take the Pan-American Highway (Route 2) south toward San Isidro de El General, then continue to San Gerardo de Rivas. The drive takes about 4-5 hours. Public buses are available but require transfers.
- From San Gerardo de Rivas: The trailhead (known as San Gerardo Station) is accessible by foot or 4x4 taxi. The ascent to the summit begins here.
