• By Car: The most convenient way to reach Fanal is by car. From Funchal, take the VR1 motorway towards Ribeira Brava, then follow signs for Paul da Serra. The drive takes about 1 hour.
• By Bus: Public transport options are limited. Buses from Funchal to Porto Moniz (Rodoeste line 80 or 139) may stop near the area, but a taxi or hike is required to reach the forest.
