Paricutín Volcano is located near the village of Angahuan, approximately 33 kilometers west of Uruapan in the state of Michoacán, Central Mexico. The nearest major city is Morelia, roughly 140 kilometers away.

  • By Car: From Morelia, take Federal Highway 14 toward Uruapan, then follow signs to Angahuan. The drive takes about 2.5 hours. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended for the final stretch near the volcano.
