Emplacement et comment s'y rendre

Parque Nacional Tolhuaca is situated approximately 150 kilometers northeast of Temuco in the Araucanía Region of Southern Chile. The nearest major town is Curacautín, about 35 kilometers away. From Pucón, the drive takes roughly 3 hours via Route 199 and Route 181, passing through scenic landscapes of the Andes foothills.

  • By Car: The most convenient option. Follow Route 199 north from Pucón, then take Route 181 toward Curacautín. Signage to the park is limited, so a GPS or map is advisable.
  • By Bus: Buses run from Temuco to Curacautín, but onward transport to the park requires a taxi or arranged tour.

The park is open year-round, but access may be restricted during heavy snowfall (June–August).
