Sipán is an archaeological site located near the city of Chiclayo in the Lambayeque region of northern Peru, approximately 35 kilometers east of the city. While Cajamarca is a notable destination in the region, Chiclayo serves as the primary hub for visiting Sipán.
- By Car: From Chiclayo, take the Pan-American Highway northbound toward Lambayeque, then follow signs for Sipán. The drive takes about 45 minutes.
- By Public Transport: Shared taxis or colectivos depart regularly from Chiclayo's main terminal to Lambayeque, where you can arrange further transport to Sipán.
- Guided Tours: Many operators in Chiclayo offer half-day tours to Sipán, often combined with visits to the Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum.
