Horn Guan quest at Paquisis Park

We begin the morning with a boat ride to San Pedro La Laguna. From there, a short pickup truck ride brings us to the entrance of Paquisis Park. Our 6-kilometer (4-mile) hike follows an ancient Maya trading route through diverse montane and cloud forests. While the trail involves a steady climb, it offers the best opportunity in Guatemala to spot the rare **Horned Guan**, along with several other unique highland species.
