In March 2026, I ventured out of my comfort zone and booked an 11 day photography tour with Tristan, through Remote Expeditions.
\nIt was amazing. Truly remote, we visited several indigenous communities in the Sierra Nevada, first to meet them and find out a little about their way of life and second lay to photograph them. Additionally there were several opportunities for photographing birds, landscape and City Scenes in Cartagena.
\nWe were fortunate enough to to be a small group, of two , which I was more that happy to pay a premium for. This gave us an intimate experience with the people we met along the way, additionally the 1:1 attention to our personal interests in photography was incredible.
\nTristan was a real treat! He has spent the last 10 years living in and exploring this region of Colombia. He has cultivated relationships with the indigenous peoples of the area, and loves to share his understanding of their culture with you.<\/p>\n

He structured the tour perfectly. He was organized, knowledgeable (about the land, its people and photography), compassionate, passionate and eager to share his vast internal encyclopedic information with you. When he didn\u2019t know, he would quickly get you the information.
\nThe remote places you get to, by 4×4, hiking and boating are exceptional. You could never find these places on your own.
\nKnowing little about Colombia, I was initially a little hesitant to take this tour. Having just returned, I wouldn\u2019t hesitate for a nanosecond.
\nWhat ever type of tour you take with Tristan, you won\u2019t be disappointed. He delivered everything he he promised, and a few amazing surprises more.<\/p>\n

D'un point de vue photographique, il avait recherch\u00e9 des personnes et des lieux pour garantir le meilleur mod\u00e8le, dans l'environnement le plus cubain qui soit et sous le meilleur \u00e9clairage. My wife and I were fortunate to have Tristan as our leader on our recent trip to Colombia. Tristan brings so much of his skills as a photographer, organizer, logistical expert, and more to enhance the participants\u2019 experiences.<\/p>\n

J'ai revu lentement toutes mes photos du circuit Viva Colombia. Cela me fait revivre toutes les exp\u00e9riences incroyables que Tristan a organis\u00e9es pour nous ! Son amour et son enthousiasme pour la Colombie et son peuple \u00e9taient \u00e9vidents. Il avait une bonne relation avec tous ses chauffeurs et guides, et il rayonne lorsqu'il est avec des enfants avec ses tours de magie. Ses comp\u00e9tences relationnelles \u00e9taient excellentes.

Quel merveilleux voyage. Tristan est une personne si charmante et bien organis\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Nous avons fait un merveilleux voyage autour de la Sierra Nevada<\/i> en Colombie, jusqu'\u00e0 Camarones<\/i> et m\u00eame Mompox<\/i>. Nous avons visit\u00e9 tant d'endroits et rencontr\u00e9 tant de gens et de communaut\u00e9s formidables.<\/p>\n

Tristan m'a guid\u00e9 \u00e0 travers les montagnes de la Sierra Nevada<\/i> et a facilit\u00e9 tous les d\u00e9tails pour rencontrer une tribu kogi<\/i>. <\/p>\n

Il s'agissait d'un voyage de travail car je travaillais sur un sujet tr\u00e8s sp\u00e9cifique (panela) et Tristan s'est occup\u00e9 de tous les d\u00e9tails et s'est montr\u00e9 tr\u00e8s attentif.

L'ensemble de l'exp\u00e9rience s'est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e de mani\u00e8re tr\u00e8s authentique, et Tristan est tr\u00e8s passionn\u00e9.

Tristan est un guide et photographe tr\u00e8s comp\u00e9tent, et il est \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s sympathique. Voyager avec lui a \u00e9t\u00e9 une exp\u00e9rience tr\u00e8s agr\u00e9able et nous avons aussi beaucoup ri !<\/p>\n

Le voyage a \u00e9t\u00e9 parfaitement organis\u00e9 et Tristan a tr\u00e8s bien compris nos besoins, en personnalisant l'itin\u00e9raire pour garantir la meilleure exp\u00e9rience possible. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 lui, nous avons d\u00e9couvert la Colombie hors des sentiers battus.<\/p>\n

Enfin et surtout, j'ai effectu\u00e9 un certain nombre de voyages photo et Tristan est probablement l'enseignant le plus d\u00e9vou\u00e9 avec qui j'ai voyag\u00e9. Il est vraiment passionn\u00e9 par la transmission de ses connaissances et de sa passion pour la photographie.<\/p>\n

Je vais certainement r\u00e9server un autre voyage avec Remote Expeditions<\/b> dans un avenir proche.<\/p>\n
