Please read the Terms of Use carefully before you start to use the Website. By using the Website or by clicking to accept or agree to the Terms of Use when this option is made available to you, you accept and agree to be bound and abide by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference. If you do not want to agree to these Terms of Use including the agreements incorporated by reference herein, you must not access or use the Website.

This website (the “Site”) is owned and operated by Remote Expeditions Ltd (“The Company,” “we” or “us”). By using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service that follow and to use the Site in accordance with these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and any additional terms and conditions that may apply to specific sections of the Site or to products and services available through the Site or from COMPANY. Accessing the Site, in any manner, whether automated or otherwise, constitutes use of the Site and your agreement to be bound by these Terms of Service.

The Company provides photo tours, multi-day workshops, and other Services. Together, these are hereby referred to as “Services”

Terms & Conditions

As photographers ourselves, we always do our utmost to ensure each participant has the opportunity to get the best shots possible on every tour.  However, we are dependent upon the weather, which is highly unpredictable.  Your photo guide will monitor local weather conditions and adjust any proposed itinerary according to conditions and any local weather warnings.

Trip Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, medical expenses, personal injury, and other unforeseen events. It is your responsibility to ensure that your insurance is adequate for your needs.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

The Company will do everything in their power to prevent trip cancellation. However, in the event a trip must be cancelled due to low participation rates, guide sickness, accident or death, and passage of Law or any action taken by a governmental or public authority, including changes in quota, restrictions or prohibitions, The Company will promptly refund all fees paid minus nonrefundable fees paid to the third party. Should this unfortunate event occur, The Company will inform all trip participants as soon as possible.

The Company is not responsible for your personal travel expenses to the gateway location or any other expenses incurred in preparing for the trip. It is for this reason and others, We strongly advise that participants purchase Travel Insurance to cover any non-refundable deposits and fees.

Refunds will be paid by the same method that the original payment was made.

Applies to All Tours

A deposit of $1,500 USD is required to confirm all bookings. This deposit is non-refundable after 7 days but may be transferred to another tour departing within 365 days of the original cancellation date. Final payment is due 90 days prior to the tour start date. No refunds are provided after the final payment deadline. Travelers are strongly encouraged to secure Trip Cancellation Insurance.

If The Company cancels a tour, you’ll be offered a full refund or a place on an alternative tour. We cannot be held liable for any loss beyond the tour ticket price.

Cancellation by Traveler

  • More than 90 days before departure: Your $1,500 deposit may be transferred to another tour within 365 days. No cash refunds.
  • Within 90 days of departure: All payments are non-refundable. If we fill your vacancy, your payment (excluding original deposit) may be transferred to another tour within 365 days.

Non-Refundable Items

  • All deposits become non-refundable 7 days after payment.
  • Third-party fees paid on your behalf (permits, accommodations, etc.).
  • No partial refunds for unused services or itinerary changes due to weather/conditions.
  • No refunds for late arrivals or no-shows after tour departure.
  • Transferred deposits/payments cannot be reassigned to other travelers.

Pricing

Prices listed on the the website are per person, unless otherwise specified.

Prices are based on the local tariff at the time of quoting, converted at the prevailing foreign-exchange rate as determined by The Company.

Price quotations are subject to change without notice, until a booking has been confirmed.

Unless otherwise specified, prices do not include any local taxes or use-fees, including foreign departure, security, port charges, park fees, customs, immigration, agricultural, passenger-facility charges or international transportation tax.

Prices do not include tips/gratuities to tour directors, drivers or local guides; passport and visa fees; baggage and personal insurance; any items of a personal nature; and any beverages or food not specifically listed under “Included” on the product pages of the the website

Tour start/end

Our tours have a designated start and end point and it is each participant’s responsibility to ensure they are at the designated starting point on time and the tour price does not include any flights, accommodation, transport, taxes or charges, etc prior to our start or after our end points/time.  We are happy to give advice on such should it be needed.

Passports, Visas

It is the responsibility of all passengers, regardless of nationality and destination, to check with the consulate of the country they are visiting for current entry requirements.

As visa and health requirements are subject to change without notice, we recommend that you verify health and visa requirements with the appropriate consulate prior to departure.

Health and Fitness Requirements

Our tours may be physically demanding. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in suitable health to participate. Please consult your physician if you have any concerns. Inform us of any medical conditions or dietary requirements at the time of booking so we can accommodate your needs where possible.

Animals

Pets and animals are not allowed on our tours or workshops. For those with a certified service animal, we recommend booking a private tour to minimize disruptions to other guests.

Itinerary Changes and Delays

The Company will do its best to honor the published itinerary. However, there are circumstances outside our control that may cause changes or omissions. Examples of these unforeseen circumstances include inclement weather, geopolitical events, unexpected closures, transportation delays, sickness, or other events identified in the Trip Cancellation section above. No refunds will be given for these adverse circumstances.

Participant Conduct

We expect all participants to act respectfully and abide by local laws and regulations. Any behavior that jeopardizes the safety, legal standing, or enjoyment of others may result in your removal from the tour without refund. This includes but is not limited to illegal activities, harassment, excessive intoxication, or disregard for instructions provided by our guides.

Release of Photo/Video Rights

The Company reserves the right to take photographs, videos, and/or sound recordings during the operation of any tour. The resulting media can be used in whole or in part for promotional purposes, including, but not limited to: advertising and publicity both in print and electronic media. By booking a tour with The Company, the participant agrees to allow his/her likeness to be used by The Company without compensation to the participant. If the participant prefers that his/her likeness not be used, he/she must notify The Company in writing prior to scheduled tour. We also reserve the right to use, in all or in part, any written reviews or feedback you may provide to us in our advertising and publicity both in print and electronic media.

Increasing Costs

Certain trips include fees levied by third parties such as Native Tribes, Government Agencies, and International Operators. Should these fees increase between the time of booking and trip occurrence, The Company reserves the right to adjust its fees to accommodate for the increased fees. This does not constitute an exception to the cancellation policy.

Waiver of Jury Trial

In connection with any action or legal proceeding arising out of this Agreement, the parties hereby specifically and knowingly waive any rights that either party might have to demand a jury trial.

Acknowledgement and Assumption of Risk

By participating in our tours and activities, you acknowledge that these may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical exertion, exposure to natural elements, and travel in remote areas without immediate access to medical facilities. You confirm that you are physically and mentally capable of participating and voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation.

You agree to inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or limitations that may affect your ability to participate safely. We reserve the right to decline or remove any participant from a tour if we believe their health or behavior may endanger themselves or others.

Limitation of Liability

Remote Expeditions Ltd., its employees, agents, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property arising from your participation in our tours, except where such liability cannot be excluded under law. We work with third-party service providers but do not control their operations and are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

We strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, personal injury, and unforeseen events.

Third-Party Services

We collaborate with reputable third-party service providers such as hotels and transportation companies. While we strive to select the best partners, we do not have control over their operations and are not liable for their acts or omissions. Any issues arising from third-party services should be addressed directly with the provider.

Force Majeure

Remote Expeditions Ltd. is not liable for any failure to perform its obligations if such failure is due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, civil unrest, epidemics, or government actions.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Any personal data collected during the booking process will be used solely for providing our services and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
