A Few Words About the Trip Structure
This itinerary begins in Peru and ends in La Paz, Bolivia. For convenience, it is possible to add a return flight from La Paz to Lima, depending on scheduling needs.
The current price is based on the upper end of estimates. It may be adjusted once hotels and services are fully confirmed, but it should not exceed the quoted amount.
Hôtels
Expect hotel rates of around €70 per room per night. There are many charming options within this range.
During the Ausangate trek, accommodations will be simple (camping), and the journey toward the Salar de Uyuni will include basic but clean guesthouses.
Transport
All domestic flights and ground transportation are included, using comfortable private vehicles. The only exceptions are the train to Machu Picchu and the short bus ride to the site.
If you prefer to reduce costs, certain legs—especially between Lake Titicaca and La Paz—could be done by bus instead.
Guides locaux
Licensed local guides will accompany you during all major activities, including:
- Cusco city tour
- Vallée sacrée
- Machu Picchu
- Ausangate Trek (mountain guide)
- La route de la mort
- La Paz city tour
- Vallée de la lune
- 3-day Salar de Uyuni expedition
Repas
All meals are included at a rate of €6 for lunch and €16 for dinner, except on arrival days and the free day in Cusco. Lunch will be in small local eateries, while dinners will be in quality restaurants.
This also includes one drink with each meal, often an aperitif before dinner, one bottle of water per day, tastings of local fruits and products, and small snacks during transfers. The goal is to remove the hassle of managing shared bills and extras.
My Support
The price includes my full support for the entire 18-day journey (starting in Cusco). I will arrive in Peru at least two weeks beforehand to ensure everything is perfectly prepared.
Trek de l'Ausangate
This trek has been booked privately, which raises the cost. A shared group option could reduce prices by approximately €500 per person, but flexibility regarding dates and pace would be limited.
Expect cold temperatures and spectacular scenery—snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and colorful high-altitude lakes. Encounters with local communities are part of the experience. Because the trek reaches altitudes above 5,000 m, solid physical preparation is strongly recommended.
Please note that the itinerary is a general outline. Distances, elevation gains, and departure times may vary based on the operator selected.
salar d'Uyuni
The current quote is for a private tour. Switching to a shared option could lower the overall cost by about €250 per person.
September is the dry season, so you will not see the mirror effect. However, the iconic hexagonal salt formations are stunning in their own right.
