Arrival in Gungulaja (Sentay Day 1)

Visit of the village and its surroundings. Meeting with the Mamo, spiritual leader of the village, then we enjoy a bath in the river before returning to the village.

Satei (Day 2)

Ecological walk following the stream of the river. We pass by the site where the old village of Gungulaja was located, we can observe traditional plantations and some wax palms. Back to the village to discover a little more of the life of the Koguis, to observe their way of life and exchange with them. Local lunch followed by a quiet time during the hot hours. In the afternoon, we will discover the secrets of the preparation of the Fique, natural fiber used for the manufacture of Mochilas. After having observed, if it is discovered, an absolutely magnificent sky, free of any light pollution, dinner and second night in our hut.

Visit of Tunangasa Village

Walking tour of the village of Tunangaxa, located about 30 minutes from Fidel’s home. It is a Kogui village integrated with the local farming culture. On the way, we make many stops to enjoy an extraordinary view of the Kogui village of Cherua, as well as a lush valley. There’s also the possibility to visit a Lulo fruit farm.

Birdwatching in La Minga Ecolodge (Wild Expe)

Birding session in Minga Ecolodge that shelters 350+ bird species. Among them: five prized endemics—the Multicolored and Purplish-mantled Tanagers, Chestnut Wood-Quail, Cloud-forest Pygmy-Owl, and Yellow-headed Manakin.
