Evening Birding at the Canopy Lodge Fruit Feeders and Grounds

Settle into the lodge's fruit feeders and gardens for a first, low-effort introduction to Panama's birds. Resident tanagers - Crimson-backed, Blue-gray, Flame-rumped and Plain-colored among them - come and go with Thick-billed Euphonias, Chestnut-headed Oropendolas and Red-legged Honeycreepers, while hummingbirds including Rufous-tailed, Snowy-bellied and Violet-headed work the flowers. It is an easy evening of observation, a chance to set up cameras in good light and learn the rhythm of the trip.
