Jökulsárlón

Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon lies in Vatnajökull National Park in south-east Iceland and is often called the 'Crown Jewel of Iceland'. Ancient icebergs drift towards the sea from the lagoon, the adjacent Diamond Beach is strewn with ice on black sand, and many birds nest in the area while seals can sometimes be seen in the surf.
