Vatnsnes

The Vatnsnes peninsula in the north of Iceland is known for its wild character. Icelandic horses live in their natural habitat here, seals are resident on the western shore all year round, and views open across to the Strandir coast of the Westfjords. The basalt sea stack Hvítserkur stands offshore, and the peninsula's remoteness keeps light pollution low.
