m/v Plancius

The m/v Plancius is an ice-strengthened expedition vessel carrying 108 passengers in 50 cabins, stabilised, with private bathrooms throughout, large windows in the public areas, an observation lounge with bar and a fully surrounding viewing walkway. Built in 1976 as the Royal Dutch Navy oceanographic research vessel Hr. Ms. Tydeman and rebuilt as a passenger ship in 2009, she is classed by Lloyd's Register and flies the Dutch flag.
