Travel from Quito to the Galápagos for a five-day small-ship wildlife and photography expedition aboard Cachalote Explorer. The programme combines low-level panga approaches, island trails, snorkelling when conditions allow and quiet observation time between visitor sites.
Beginning on San Cristóbal, the route follows the wildlife-rich islands of Española, Floreana, Santa Fe and South Plaza before a final giant-tortoise encounter in the Santa Cruz highlands and the flight back to Quito. Galápagos National Park authorisations, sea conditions and the vessel’s confirmed operating route always determine the final landing order and timings.
