Un programme divers et chargé, mélange d’activités et de temps libres pour laisser un peu de place à l’improvisation, vous laisser plus de temps de vous imprégner des lieux ou tout simplement vous reposer comme bon vous semble.Dans une démarche de transparence, je vous ai fourni ci-dessous un détail des frais impliqués dans le voyage pour vous donner une idée de la répartition des dépenses.

Les hôtels

Dès que possible, j’ai choisi des hôtels de charme et de caractère à taille humaine. Cependant, par manque d’options, il s’agit parfois de plus grands hôtels comme à Livingston et Ciudad Guatemala pour la dernière nuit.À Atitlan, il y a des options de lodges magnifiques dans des zones plus reculées, moyennant des coûts plus élevés. Par convenance, j’ai choisi ici Villas Santa Catarina qui offre un très bon rapport qualité-prix, mais je peux vous proposer d’autres options vers ces lodges si vous le souhaitez. Il y a également des options plus économiques qui offrent des vues tout aussi magiques.Prenez note que les prix sont indiqué en chambre seule. Si vous optez pour une chambre double un réduction sera appliquée à l’ensemble du voyage (voir section des prix).

Les transferts

L’ensemble des trajets se fait en minivans confortables, avec des places supplémentaires. Si l’aventure vous tente, nous pourrions envisager de substituer l’un des trajets en minivan par le “Chicken Bus”, essence de la culture guatémaltèque.

Le Volcan Del Fuego

J’ai consulté plusieurs agences, et il y a plusieurs options possibles pour les non-marcheurs :• Montée / descente en 4×4 – 80% du trajet. 4 personnes minimum, 900€. Possible de le réserver pour 1 personne seulement mais avec le prix pour 4.• Montée / descente à cheval : supplément de 200€.J’ai inclus un portage de sac à dos pour marcher plus léger, 1 porteur pour 2 personnes (6,5 kilos par personne). Location de matériel de randonnée possible.

Les activités

Le voyage est articulé autour d’activités et de temps libre pour ne pas trop charger les journées. Des guides ont été engagés sur les sites les plus importants, tels que Yaxha ou Tikal (j’en ai pris un seul pour les deux sites). Comme convenu, j’ai ajouté une nuit à Chichicastenango. Cette étape vise une immersion culturelle dans l’une des villes mayas les plus traditionnelles de la région. Une journée libre a aussi été ajoutée à Atitlan pour profiter comme bon vous semble de la tranquillité du lac.

Les repas

Un budget confortable pour manger dans de bons restaurants le soir, et des options locales le midi qui font parties des expériences culturelles du pays.Une bouteille d’eau par jour, et un cocktail avant les repas.

Je vous laisse regarder l’itinéraire au calme, et vous invite à faire un appel semaine prochaine pour revoir son articulation et faire quelques changements selon vos retours.

Inclusion de Semuc Champey ?

Il serait possible d’ajouter les piscines naturelles de Semuc Champey à votre itinéraire. Le meilleur endroit pour les intégrer serait entre Flores et la côte caraïbe. Cependant, cela impliquerait deux nuits supplémentaires dans l’itinéraire et un trajet plus long, car cela fait un détour sur des petites routes. Ceci dit, le détour en vaut la peine le cadre est tout simplement magnifique.

Key Booking & Cancellation Terms

Booking this tour means you agree to our full Terms and Conditions. Below is a summary of the key points. As life is unpredictable, we strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance.

Deposit:A 30% deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is refundable for 7 days (less transaction fees),after which it becomes a non-refundable credit, transferable to a future tour offered by Remote Expeditions within 4 years of the cancellation date, less any non-recoverable costs already paid on your behalf.
Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 90 days before the tour begins.
Cancellation more than 90 days before departure: You will receive a full refund of any payments made, except for the 30% deposit. Your deposit will be converted into a travel credit valid for 4 years on a future tour Remote Expeditions.
Cancellation within 90 days of departure:100% of the tour price is forfeited. There are no refunds or credits.

The Magical Mystery Tour!

In March 2026, I ventured out of my comfort zone and booked an 11 day photography tour with Tristan, through Remote Expeditions.
It was amazing. Truly remote, we visited several indigenous communities in the Sierra Nevada, first to meet them and find out a little about their way of life and second lay to photograph them. Additionally there were several opportunities for photographing birds, landscape and City Scenes in Cartagena.
We were fortunate enough to to be a small group, of two , which I was more that happy to pay a premium for. This gave us an intimate experience with the people we met along the way, additionally the 1:1 attention to our personal interests in photography was incredible.
Tristan was a real treat! He has spent the last 10 years living in and exploring this region of Colombia. He has cultivated relationships with the indigenous peoples of the area, and loves to share his understanding of their culture with you.

He structured the tour perfectly. He was organized, knowledgeable (about the land, its people and photography), compassionate, passionate and eager to share his vast internal encyclopedic information with you. When he didn’t know, he would quickly get you the information.
The remote places you get to, by 4x4, hiking and boating are exceptional. You could never find these places on your own.
Knowing little about Colombia, I was initially a little hesitant to take this tour. Having just returned, I wouldn’t hesitate for a nanosecond.
What ever type of tour you take with Tristan, you won’t be disappointed. He delivered everything he he promised, and a few amazing surprises more.

A Multifaceted Adventure with Tristan

My wife and I were fortunate to have Tristan as our leader on our recent trip to Colombia. Tristan brings so much of his skills as a photographer, organizer, logistical expert, and more to enhance the participants’ experiences.

He relates to the locals in a warm, welcoming, and personal manner. He is multilingual and effortlessly switches between English, Spanish, French, and some of the indigenous languages. When locals meet him, the affection they feel for him is palpable. He can and does literally work magic with children.

It’s a joy to see their expressions when he magically extracts a coin from their ear. It makes for wonderful photos. He’s constantly in search of photo opportunities. He creates them spontaneously and we walked away with great photos so many times.

As the oldest one on the trip, Tristan was always ready to assist me with an inordinately heavy suitcase. Whether dealing with a technical camera issue or the best way to compose a shot, Tristan was there with great advice. He also provided very helpful photo editing sessions.

I would highly recommend him as a leader, no matter the destination.
