Tropipay Review 2025: Why I Cannot Recommend This Service for Business
Verdict: 1/5 Stars.
Bottom Line: Tropipay promises “ease” and “instant transfers” on their homepage. In reality, my experience was a black hole of non-communication. After collecting sensitive financial documents from my company, they ceased all contact for over 60 days. Avoid at all costs.
The Promise: “Send Money With Ease”
If you run a travel business or deal with complex jurisdictions like I do (specifically South America and the Caribbean), Tropipay looks like a savior on paper.
Their marketing is slick. Their homepage boasts: “Send and receive money instantly anywhere in the world, with low fees.” They list specific, hard-to-reach destinations as their specialty.
As the Director of a UK Limited Company, I am accustomed to strict compliance checks. I expected a rigorous process. What I did not expect was to be ghosted by a financial institution holding my sensitive data.
The Reality: The Onboarding Nightmare
My experience with Tropipay’s “Business Onboarding Team” was not just slow; it was professionally negligent.
Here is the factual timeline of my application:
- The Application: I applied for a business account to handle legitimate tour operations.
- The Document Demands: Their compliance team requested extensive documentation. This included my Company Tax Return (Form CT600), Certificate of Incorporation, and proof of identity.
- The Submission: I retrieved these documents from my accountant and submitted them immediately. I was transparent, compliant, and ready to do business.
- The Silence: That was in November. It is now January.
For over 60 days, Tropipay has maintained total radio silence.
I sent polite follow-up emails asking for a status update. I sent urgent reminders. I received nothing. No “application pending,” no “we are busy,” no “application rejected.” Just silence.
The Major Security Red Flag
This is the most concerning part for any business owner.
Tropipay did not just ignore a “hello” email. They collected sensitive, private corporate tax filings and legal documents—and then vanished.
When a financial institution collects your private data and then refuses to communicate, it raises serious red flags about their internal data governance and operational capacity.
- Is my data secure?
- Is my application sitting in an unmonitored inbox?
- Do they even have a functioning compliance team?
The “Support” Warning
If you are considering Tropipay, ask yourself this question:
If they cannot answer an email when you are trying to become a customer, what will happen when they are holding your money?
If a transfer gets stuck, or if you need to pay a supplier urgently, you need a bank that picks up the phone. My experience proves that Tropipay does not have the infrastructure to support serious businesses.
Conclusion: Look Elsewhere
The fintech world is competitive. There is no excuse for this level of incompetence.
While Tropipay claims to be the solution for specific markets, a payment provider that doesn’t provide support is a liability, not an asset.
I have since built a robust financial flow using Revolut Business and WorldFirst. Both companies onboarded my UK Limited Company efficiently, verified my documents within days (not months), and actually reply to support tickets.
My advice: Do not waste your time with Tropipay. The marketing on their homepage is a facade that hides a broken operational system.
